Week 3: Progress and Plans
This is my third week at the Digital Summer Clinic, and it has been an incredible learning experience so far! Last week, I had the opportunity to meet with my assigned company, Xondas. During our meeting, I gathered essential information about their website goals, objectives, and overall vision. Understanding these aspects is crucial to ensuring the website aligns perfectly with their needs and expectations.
Following this important discussion, I took the initiative to create a site map. This map outlines the website's structure, providing a clear blueprint of how information will be organized and presented. Also, I developed a detailed buyer persona based on a past Xondas client. This persona helps us understand our target audience's needs, preferences, and behaviors, which is crucial for designing a user-centric website.
To further strengthen our project, my partner and I conducted an in-depth competitive analysis. We examined similar companies to identify best practices and industry trends, ensuring our design remains competitive and up-to-date with current standards.
After, we met with Xondas to present our findings and receive feedback. Their insights were important as it guides us to refine our approach and pinpoint specific areas for improvement.
Looking ahead to next week, my partner and I plan to start working on both low and high-fidelity designs. We aim to receive feedback on these prototypes to ensure they meet Xondas's expectations before we begin structuring the website on Squarespace.
In addition to our design work, I'm preparing for the Google Analytics certification by actively taking the course work. This certification will improve my ability to analyze website performance.
Also happening this week is the Figma conference, it was exciting to learn about the new features in Figma such as how AI can be implemented in design.
